i started doing the exact same things that you did, stopped drinking soda and eating junk food, increased my water intake, started exercising (about an hour 5 times a week) and also stopped eating late at night. i started all of this last september, and i have now successfully lost 35 lbs., so it took me about 6 months. that’s just my personal experience, though. another recommendation, eat your carbs earlier in the day, and your protiens and vegetables later in the day, since it takes longer for your body to metabolize carbs, and you will need protien to help repair your muscels once you start working out. and don’t cut out breakfast, it helps jump start your metabolism and burn more calories throughout the day. excellent luck!
