		<description>You definitely should not starve yourself while on a diet because you will only be slowing down your metabolism. You need to eat at least 1200 calories per day.I’ve been on this diet now and I have lost 17 pounds in less than a month. Basically I have been following The Biggest Loser Diet and it has been amazing. I have realized that now I can eat more [quantity wise] of healthy foods than I could of processed, junkie foods. Now I am almost never as hungry as I once was. First, I started cutting out all sodas, sugary soft drinks, and juices and instead I started drinking anywhere between 64-80 ounces of water each and every day. Drinking your water ice cold helps you to not give in to your cravings. Instead of snacking on junk foods try snacking on fruits and vegetables. Fruits can take the place of sweets that you would have been craving before. You should also make sure to watch your portion size because you could be eating the right foods but just too much of it. A great weigh to burn calories quick and get in shape is to do some sort of cardio activity for at least 30 minutes everyday. Personally I would recommend 45 minutes to 1 hour of cardio per day. Another great way to lose weight that will also help you tone up is to start a strength training program. Essentially you should be following through with your strength training program 3-4 days per week. 
Here’s an example of what I eat every day;
Breakfast: 1 cup of cream of wheat [you can spice it up with bananas, fruits, spices, etc.]
Snack: 1 cup of grapes
Lunch: Half of a ham/turkey [protein] sandwich on whole-wheat bread
            Carrots with a tiny bit of ranch dressing to dip it in. 
            1 cup Cantaloupe
Snack: ½ cup cottage cheese with mandarin oranges 
Dinner: Chicken fajitas on Whole-Wheat tortillas 
Dessert: Low-calorie ice-cream bars such as the “Skinny Cow” brand ice cream bars.

Don&#039;t feel discouraged if you don&#039;t meet your 30 pound goal. If you lose more than 2 pounds a week you could be burning muscle instead of fat. Muscle burns more calories than fat, so you don&#039;t want to start losing muscle!!

Something that can help boost your progress is to start adding in some running or jogging miles into your walks.

Not to burst your bubble, but at first you will lose the most weight fast because you are losing water weight. As your body gets used to exercise, you will have to push it harder in order to get through the plateau and lose more pounds. Increase the intensity when that time comes, or exercise longer.

As for losing 30 more pounds in 3 months, you might be able to do it. I doubt you will be able to live on 1000 calories for the rest of your life though, so you will end up gaining all of your weight back once you start eating normally again. Just eat healthy and sensibly, you will be able to maintain that eating regimen forever.</description>

		<description>If you work very, very hard, and 100% watch what you eat. a weight loss of 1-2 pounds a week is healthy.

Listen: you need to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. The 45 minute thing is not true, but don&#039;t over 60 minutes at a time.

Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don&#039;t look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

According to doctors you should be look into losing 1 pound per week. If you are overweight... for first month you&#039;ll be losing something like 2-3 pounds per week(depending n how overweight you are and what kind of routine you are doing). 

As you&#039;ll be getting back into shape.. You wo&#039;t be losing as much weight as you were earlier.. this is because

Your body is getting back into shape plus its gaining muscles. Muscles are heavier... So it&#039;ll look like you are not losing weight... Most people give up as they think they are not progressing enough...

		<description>You can do anything as long as you work hard at it and believe in yourself.  Walking and lifting is good but always remember that muscle ways more than fat, so as you lose your fat and gain muscle your weight won&#039;t drop as dramatically as you may want.  I&#039;d try and work in some kind of high energy cardio into your routine, like maybe alternate walking and running or do an aerobics class or video.  I&#039;ve been doing belly dancing and its a good muscular and cardio work out and it makes you focus on your breathing with body isolation.  Good luck and keep up the good work.</description>

What you have lost so far is mostly water weight, and if you continue on this starvation diet you&#039;ll lose muscle, not fat (the body greedily hangs on to fat stores when you&#039;re in starvation mode, and muscle takes more energy to maintain, so the muscle goes and the fat stays).  Try increasing your caloric intake to 1,500 calories a day, keep eating healthy food, keep exercising, and make sure you don&#039;t neglect the &quot;good for you&quot; fats that your body needs -- you&#039;ll find them in eggs, nuts, avocadoes, fish/fish oil, flax seed/flax seed oil, and olive oil.
