Area diners won’t likely escape cascading effects of Gulf oil spill
So far, the millions of gallons of crude oil spewing into the Gulf of Mexico from a British Petroleum oil well blowout haven’t washed up on restaurant tables in metro Detroit. Calls late last week to several local chefs and restaurateurs found no one raising menu prices — yet — for shrimp or oysters, or having real problems getting the products they want.
